Witcher 3 Horse Girl Game Theory Perfectly Shown In Animal Crossing Comic

In one of the most unexpected crossover comics, a fan illustrates their realization that Witcher 3 and Animal Crossing share a lot of mechanics.

Through an excellently drawn crossover comic between The Witcher 3 and Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the artist explains the realization they had that The Witcher 3 is actually a “horse girl game.” The game in question here, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, is widely regarded as one of the greatest RPGs of all time and was developer CD Projekt Red’s claim to fame. The Witcher 3 is known for the many options it gives its players, from action-packed monster fights to more relaxed quests and side hustles.

What makes a good RPG isn’t necessarily combat or exploration, but the optional choices. Ideally, the player can choose to tackle the game in any way they like, be that swinging a sword at everything they see, or not swinging a sword at all. Or, as some players have chosen to do, playing through all of The Witcher 3 in a bath towel. This can give some of the best RPGs immense replay value because there are so many various ways to play. Some RPGs do focus on combat, the choice comes into play in how the characters progress. Some games, like The Witcher 3, Skyrim, and even Breath of the Wild, throw in more mechanics like foraging for supplies and crafting.

Oxtero VIDEO OF THE DAY

In a post to Reddit, bonerfly explains that their wife created this comic after a conversation enlightened their understanding of why they enjoyed playing The Witcher 3. The term “horse girl game” isn’t exactly clear, but it is applied to both Animal Crossing: New Horizons and The Witcher 3, two games that might not always be thought of as similar. As the comic explains, both games feature mechanics for harvesting herbs, crafting items, completing quests, and making friends, which are drawn in the perfect crossover style. The Witcher 3 is often seen as an action-heavy, violent, monster-hunting game, but there is actually a lot more to it than that.

The Witcher 3, as shown by this comic, can be played in a very relaxed way that many people might not expect at first glance. It can be important to know that not every Witcher 3 quest is necessary, or even recommended. Many quests, even some of the best ones, are optional. Fighting monsters and defending people is always going to be an important part of the game, and some of the combat is unavoidable, but it certainly doesn’t have to be the focus. There is plenty to enjoy from simply collecting and crafting, to the in-world card game, Gwent.

The term “horse girl game” can apply to a lot of RPG-style games, like Skyrim, Breath of the Wild, and others. While combat is certainly a fun mechanic, it’s far from the only way to experience these games. Sometimes The Witcher 3’s side quests are the highlights, compared to the main story, and that can actually be a good thing. Not every player is going to play the same way, and some will just enjoy being a horse girl, just exploring the game world and relaxing. Hopefully, this post helps other players find their way to a fun playthrough of The Witcher 3 when they might not have otherwise.
