Pokémon GO Legendaries Regirock & Registeel Return With Five-Star Raids

[ad_1]

Niantic has announced that Legendary Pokémon Registeel and Regirock will be returning to Pokémon GO in limited five-star raids during February.

The Legendary Pokémon Registeel and Regirock will be returning to Pokémon GO in limited five-star raids, as confirmed by developer Niantic. The raids will be part of the game’s extensive additional content in February, which also includes the Hoppip Pokémon GO Community Day which has also recently been announced.

Enthusiasm for Pokémon has been even higher than usual as of late, and there are a few reasons for that. The Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl remakes have been riding a wave of attention since they launched late last year, even in spite of the fair share of criticism that they received from fans. The highly anticipated Pokémon Legends: Arceus is only a few days away from release, and each new bit of information on the game seems to stoke more excitement. Even Pokémon GO will be celebrating Pokémon Legends with new Hisuian forms, according to a recent leak. That’s not all that’s happening in the game, however, with Niantic planning a full month of content leading up to Pokémon GO’s Johto Tour at the end of February.

Oxtero VIDEO OF THE DAY

As revealed by Niantic, the popular Pokémon Registeel and Regirock are coming back to Pokémon GO for a limited time. The two Legendaries will be appearing in five-star raids during the first half of February, with Regirock showing up between February 1 and February 9 followed by Registeel between February 9 and February 16. A Regirock caught in one of these raids will have the move Earthquake, and a Registeel will have the move Zap Cannon. Deoxys and each of its own forms will replace them throughout the second half of the month, but they will still be available every Wednesday in February during a Raid Hour.

Once the Johto Tour begins on February 26, a host of different Legendary Pokémon will be featured in five-star raids for one day only. These will be the most famous Legendaries from Generation 2: Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia, and Ho-Oh. There will also be two more Mega Raids in February, with a Mega Houndoom raid in the first half of the month and a Mega Ampharos raid in the second half.

Niantic is packing a lot of content into February to get players on board with the Johto Tour event, and that’s not even including the potential addition of Pokémon from Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Dedicated fans will certainly have plenty on their plates soon – so much that it might be overwhelming for those that are trying to play every current Pokémon game including the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Arceus. That said, it’s likely to be a very enjoyable (and very busy) month for the Pokémon community.
