A fresh insight into the situation of transfer-linked Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has been forthcoming late on Thursday.

The subject of French international Ndombele’s future has of course come back to the fore once more over the course of the last week.

This comes on the back of widespread confirmation that Ligue 1 heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain have set their sights on the 25-year-old, out-of-favour under yet another manager in north London at present.

And, if the latest word stemming from the media this evening is anything to go by, then Ndombele’s Parc des Princes switch appears to be inching ever closer to completion.

As per a report from the reliable Jason Burt of The Telegraph, Totteham are ‘on the verge’ of offloading their gifted but often frustrating midfielder to Paris, in a loan deal for the remainder of the campaign.

PSG are expected to cover the entirety of Ndombele’s wages for the duration of the stint, whilst boasting an option to make his arrival permanent in the summer.

Turning attentions towards potential incomings on the Lilywhite half of north London this month, it has also been confirmed that Spurs remain on the lookout for reinforcements at right-wing-back.

Earlier today, the capital outfit of course saw their hopes of landing first-choice winter target Adama Traore dealt a fatal blow, as the Wolverhampton Wanderers star inches towards a return to the Camp Nou with Barcelona.

It has been assured, though, that Daniel Levy and co. remain firmly on the lookout for right-sided reinforcements.

As per the reliable Charlie Eccleshare of The Athletic, Tottenham ‘have alternative targets’ in mind, but, crucially, will first need to find a buyer for Republic of Ireland international Matt Doherty.
