Finding Sandler, a new documentary, sees one fan attempting to reconnect with Adam Sandler for a drink after missing the opportunity years prior.

The trailer for Finding Sandler, a new documentary, sees one fan looking to grab a drink with Adam Sandler after missing the opportunity years before. Finding Sandler stars David Seth Cohen, who also serves as director and co-writer. Cohen’s career has seen him wear many hats in addition to his work on this project, including actor, producer, editor, and even cinematographer. Yet, he’s always been plagued by a missed opportunity while working on Big Daddy, Sandler’s 1999 hit comedy.

The trailer for Finding Sandler, which was shared by the official Finding Sandler YouTube channel, explains Cohen’s conundrum. During the production of Big Daddy, Sandler invited Cohen to have a drink with him, which Cohen turned down, only to regret it for years to come. So now, with a camera crew in tow, Cohen sets out on a journey for a second chance. As he connects with various celebrities, including Billy Joel, Dee Snider, and Carmen Electra, he has only one goal in mind: Getting that drink with Sandler. Cohen served two functions for the production of Big Daddy. He received credit for working as the wardrobe production assistant, but he also had an uncredited acting role in the film as Skater Guy in Washington Square Park. However, the trailer insinuates that the offer came while Cohen was performing wardrobe duties, and it even shows him getting to speak with Sandler after his arduous journey. Still, whether Cohen actually got to fulfill his dream to sit down for a drink with Sandler remains to be seen. For audiences looking to see if Cohen achieved his goal, Finding Sandler is slated for release later this year.
