Chris Kirkpatrick On Why He Was Pulled From Filming

Evicted Celebrity Big Brother 3 houseguest, Chris Kirkpatrick, was removed from the house earlier in the game. Now he explains the reason why.

Evicted Celebrity Big Brother 3 houseguest Chris Kirkpatrick revealed that he was pulled from filming due to a false positive Covid test. Chris, a 50-year-old former member of the pop group, *NSYNC, made a big move with his final 2 partner, Shanna Moakler, when she won a crucial veto that gave them the ability to shift the power in the house. They decided to defy Head of Household Miesha Tate’s orders to evict Carson Kressley by saving him with the veto. However, Chris knew that Miesha might nominate him for eviction for betraying her.

Miesha did put Chris on the chopping block next to Cynthia Bailey, and Chris was evicted by a vote of 5-0. He joked that he essentially backdoored himself from the game, but it was worth it to him because he did not want to sit back and watch Miesha and Todrick Hall dominate the game. He wanted Carson, Cynthia, and Shanna to have a chance to win, so he took a chance that maybe Miesha would nominate someone else. Although Chris ended up sacrificing his own game for his friends, he was happy and proud about how he played. When the show began, rumors had been swirling among fans who were trying to figure out why it seemed like Chris left the house for a short period of time. Now that Chris has been evicted, he shared what really happened.

Oxtero VIDEO OF THE DAY

In an interview with TooFab, Chris revealed the truth about being pulled from filming earlier in the game due to a Covid scare in the house. He shared that the houseguests were being tested for Covid all the time, and he and Mirai Nagasu were the only two people in the house who had never had it. He had just given Todrick a hug, and they were joking around, when he was called to the diary room. Chris said that they called him three times in about a minute and a half, which is unusual, and he was « freaking out. » He said that production told him, « Just sit there, you’re gonna get a phone call. » Chris became very nervous, wondering if his wife and his child were okay. He revealed that panic set in, and he was « so delusional at that point and scared, I think I asked if the president was okay. And if, either way, I was like, ‘Well, why would they call me if the president wasn’t okay?' »

Chris said that production then revealed that he tested positive on one of the Covid tests. He said that his reaction was, « You know, first of all, I feel fine. Second of all, I haven’t had Covid and third of all, I’ve been in this bubble for, you know, two weeks now. There’s no way I could have Covid. » Chris explained that they then gave him a rapid test right there that came back negative. However, he still ended up having to leave the house for a bit. After two more Covid tests came back negative, Chris was told that the original test was just a false positive, and he returned to the game. None of this aired on the show.

Chris’ false positive Covid test was just the first of many dramatic moments for the star as he played Celebrity Big Brother. As a superfan, Chris played the game with integrity, avoiding lies and insults, and instead strategized to create the best plan to help his alliance move forward. Thankfully, Chris’ Covid test was a false positive so that fans could watch him play the game before he had to say « Bye Bye Bye! »
