A significant update surrounding the efforts of Premier League giants Liverpool to clinch the signature of Fulham talent Fabio Carvalho has been forthcoming on Sunday evening.

This came amid the efforts of the aforementioned Liverpool to land the English youth international, before immediately sending him back on loan to Craven Cottage for the remainder of the campaign.
And, at one point late on deadline day, it appeared as though the Reds had managed precisely that.
In a blow for Jurgen Klopp and co., however, it was later revealed that a deal between the respective boards in west London and Merseyside had in fact fallen through, owing to the required paperwork not being submitted in time:

Fabinho on target
Word of Carvalho inching towards a move to Liverpool of course rounds out a fine day all-round for the Merseyside heavyweights.
