Elizabeth Olsen Proves She’s The Toughest Avenger In MCU Hot Ones Video

While strongest Avenger title remains contested, Doctor Strange 2’s Elizabeth Olsen is clearly the toughest MCU actor in a hilarious Hot Ones video.

Elizabeth Olsen is clearly the toughest Avenger in this hilarious Hot Ones MCU mash-up video. The American actor has played Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch for Marvel Studios since being introduced in a post-credits scene in 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, reprising the role in multiple films and the first MCU Disney+ series, WandaVision. Her next appearance will be a prominent turn in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which hits theaters on May 6.

Since the superhero franchise first started putting its team together, fans have brought the comic book tradition of power-ranking debates to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, holding many arguments over which Avenger is the most powerful. Though she was somewhat sidelined throughout the Captain America and Avengers movies, Olsen’s Wanda was always a strong contender, intuitively wielding chaos magic that could let her go toe-to-toe with heavyweight heroes like Thor and Captain Marvel. Now that her arc in WandaVision culminated in her self-actualizing as the Scarlet Witch, resulting in her gaining greater understanding of her abilities, she stands a chance to win virtually any fight.

And, in this hilarious video mash-up of various Hot Ones clips by TikTok user @lizzie’s (via Twitter), it looks like Olsen’s on-screen toughness stands out behind the scenes as well. Many a Marvel actor has guested on the YouTube interview show subjecting them to increasingly spicy wings, including Tom Holland, Scarlett Johansson, and Paul Rudd, and as the clips indicate, they at times struggled to handle the heat. Olsen, however, looks calm and collected, proving she at least has a higher spice tolerance than her MCU co-stars. Check out the video below:

This funny example of Olsen’s off-screen resolve should only make audiences more exited to see her next MCU performance in the Doctor Strange sequel. The acclaimed actor was finally allowed to run with her character in WandaVision, and her exploration of Wanda’s grief impressed both critics and fans; now, trailers for the new movie from director Sam Raimi suggest this will be Scarlet Witch’s biggest film role yet. As powerful as she is, it’s a bad sign for the Avengers that she (or her variant) looks set for a villainous turn, though a short clip of Wanda confronting Benedict Cumberbatch’s protagonist already has fans buzzing.

As with the big Avengers movie showdowns, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness looks ready to provide fans with some answers as to the question of the MCU’s strongest hero. The Sorcerer Supreme is another popular pick for that title, and seeing his version of the mystical arts go up against Wanda’s could settle once and for all who is the more powerful between them. But, with next big-bad Kang the Conqueror waiting in the wings, viewers are just hoping the two characters are back on the same side by the movie’s end.
