‘Playing against us’: Arsenal fans direct fury at one man amid struggles to bag crucial opener vs Brentford

Supporters of Premier League giants Arsenal have flooded to social media on Saturday afternoon, to make their frustrations with the standard of officiating in the club’s meeting with Brentford clear.

Mikel Arteta’s troops are of course currently locked in action.

Amid the club’s ongoing push for a top-4 berth, the Gunners welcomed capital rivals Brentford to the Emirates, desperate for revenge on Thomas Frank’s Bees after a 2-0 defeat at the Community Stadium on the opening day of the campaign.

To this point in proceedings, however, Arsenal have been left frustrated.

Despite completely dominating when it comes to both possession and attempts at goal, the hosts have been unable to find an all-important opener.

Moss slammed

And, as alluded to above, on the back of the opening 45 minutes of action coming to a close on Saturday afternoon, those of a Gunners persuasion have made clear their feelings that the club’s failure to take the lead comes owing to the actions of one man and one man only.

The individual in question? Jon Moss.

Arsenal saw a number of penalty shouts turned down during the first-half of action versus Brentford, with one in particular, which saw an effort at goal on the part of Cedric Soares strike an arm in the visitors’ area, having culminated in widespread disbelief.

The backlash across social media, in turn, has been an absolute sight to behold, with just some of the highlights showcased below:
